About Dawn Marie Jordan
Dawn Marie Jordan has been healing bodies, hearts and minds with her bare hands for 35 years. She left an academic career when she discovered the transformational power of human touch while doing research as a Fulbright Fellow in Brazil.
Somatic Educator and Transformational Massage Therapist, Dawn is the creator of The BodyWisdom Way, a system of body awareness skills that improve communication between the body, the heart and the brain. She delivers BodyWisdom as customized wellness workshops, keynotes and individual sessions to universities, colleges and public school systems, businesses, startups, government agencies, non-profits and thousands of individuals.
Dawn helps entrepreneurs, artists, intellectuals, massage and bodyworkers, physical trainers, body-centered psychotherapists, social workers, medical researchers, scientists, mental health professionals, practitioners, healers and whole health advocates find new solutions to old problems by teaching them to move in new ways.
She supports the Consciousness Network Community in Santa Barbara, California, a group of entrepreneurs committed to growing conscious businesses capable of transforming the way the world does business.

“A Massage Therapist’s Manifesto: Factoring the Body’s Wellbeing in a Sustainable Economy” was a contribution to the First Global Forum on Presencing at Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2011. “The Whole Leader: How to Achieve Balanced Leadership” was part of the Performance Group’s Executive training 2008. “Discovering the Connection Between Great Literature and the Sensorium,” was offered to undergraduates at Wellesley College 2013.
“Introduction to Complementary and Alternative Medicine for Medical Students” was part of innovative medical curriculum at the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Medicine 2006. She helps couples live vibrant, rich and accomplished lives by refining their sense of touch, deepening the feeling of belonging and connection, transforming body awareness into body wisdom so love can flow freely. “Nurturing the Body You Live In” was presented at Planned Parenthood of Buffalo, New York. “Hands of the Mother: Psychotherapy and the Body” was an offering to the C.G Jung Center in Buffalo.
Dawn helps Moms, Dads and families thrive by strengthening the bonds of love and affection, caring and sharing, protection, respect and recognition using the age old proven methods of loving touch and healing massage. She has been teaching “Massage for Friends and Family,” "Embodiment and a Woman’s Search for God,” “The Balancing Act” and “Loving the Body You Live in” since 1994.
